The Station offers clean and comfortable rooms, with a cozy atmosphere perfect for families. It's conveniently located a short drive from Jindabyne, although I found the food to be overpriced and the service could use some improvement. Nonetheless, if you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation during the winter, this place could fit the bill for a snow trip.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a family room with comfortable beds, which made for a pleasant rest. However, the heating was a bit too hot at times.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly, overall, the service felt lacking, and I had a few encounters that weren't the most welcoming.
Location

Dining
6.0
The food options were tasty but unfortunately overpriced, and I was disappointed with some of the menu items.
Facilities

The amenities felt basic but functional, and while the bar and buffet were enjoyable, I expected a little more for the price.

I stayed at The Station recently, and while it was a decent option for the price, it definitely has its shortcomings. The room was spacious for my family, which was great, and the bathroom, despite being dated, was clean. However, the breakfast left a lot to be desired, and I would recommend eating somewhere else. Overall, it’s a budget accommodation, but don’t expect a high-end experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious enough to accommodate my family of five, which was a plus, but the bathroom was dated.
Service
5.0
I found the service to be lackluster; it felt like the staff were not very engaged or welcoming.
Location
6.0
The location was convenient enough, close to essentials but further behind in terms of atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite average and overpriced for what was offered; I would recommend dining in downtown Jindabyne instead.
Facilities
6.0
The motel had a drying room for ski gear, which was useful, but overall the facilities felt basic.

Overall, the accommodation was decent but had its limitations. The rooms were spacious with a nostalgic feel, but we struggled with temperature control and a cold bathroom. Dining options were limited during our stay, which affected our experience. However, for the cost, it was manageable if you set your expectations appropriately.

Rooms
5.0
The room we stayed in was big and had four beds, but the heating was inconsistent, and the bathroom was very cold.
Service

Service was a bit slow due to staff shortages, especially at the bistro. We didn’t experience any major issues, but everything felt a bit unprepared.
Location

The location was pretty good for skiing, but some facilities were closed during our stay, which limited options.
Dining
6.0
Dining was limited as some places were closed, but the bistro food we tried was quite good despite slow service.
Facilities

Facilities were basic and in need of an upgrade, but were functional overall.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While it’s spacious and warm with decent proximity to the snow, the noise levels from my neighbors and the lack of dining options really took away from my stay. The rooms could also use a bit of an upgrade, especially in terms of soundproofing and some basic amenities.

Rooms

The room was spacious and warm, but the noise from the neighboring rooms made it hard to rest.
Service

The service related to dining was disappointing, especially with the pizza place being closed.

The hotel has potential with its size, but needs upgrades and better maintenance.

6.0/10

My experience at The Station was a mixed bag. It was spacious enough for two families, but the accommodations were quite basic and in need of an update. The breakfast was decent for a buffet, but the comfort of the beds really hurt the overall experience. It had some pros like the friendly managers who helped resolve issues, but the drawbacks like poor bedding and cold bathrooms made it less than ideal for a return visit.

Rooms
5.0
The room was large, which was a plus for space, but the beds were extremely uncomfortable and in need of replacement, making for a poor sleep experience.
Service
6.0
The managers were friendly and attentive, which was appreciated when issues arose. However, the front desk staff's rudeness was a disappointing downside.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located near the bistro and close to the slopes, making it easy for skiing access.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet was basic but everyone found something they liked. Dinner at the bistro had good food, but service was slow and some items ran out.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacked amenities like Wi-Fi in the rooms and had limited options for heating, leading to discomfort during the stay.
